Me as a consumer

I like to buy more shoes than anything else because I'm more of a shoe person than anything else, I know when to buy them or where because there's a lot of difference places where you could buy the same thing but different prices some cheaper other expensive. And what makes me want to go out and buy shoes are always commercials of new stuff in stores, what ever it is there's always new stuff. it also depends on the climate when it rains or snow they sell a lot of rain boots when its also cold they sell a lot of warm boots like UGGs. When its hot they sell a lot of flats sandals heels, etc. There's always going to be commercials about shoes or posters even if you go to a store and your going to buy a specific thing but end up getting what you go crazy for, for example what i go crazy for is  SHOES :)

How To Analyze Advertisements

Describe the layout of the advertisement. How is content arranged? For example, are elements arranged symmetrically or asymmetrically?

The Layout is of coca-cola its also in the bottle the word is written in script. thats mostly how they are known.

Describe the relationship between the written (copy) and graphic elements of the advertisement.

The color of the written and the graphic elements match they make the things stand out and im interested in watching it

How does the advertisement use page space? Is the advertisement full of text and graphics or does it have a lot of
white space?

How does the advertisement use alignment to organize its information?

Colors and graphics
Describe the colors used on the advertisement. Do they work well together? Is there a high contrast ratio between text
and background?

Does the color scheme add to the purpose or tone of the advertisement? What tone or message do these colors
convey?

Is a photograph used in the advertisement? If so, what kind of shot is it? What angle is it taken from? What is the
lighting like? How is color used?

If people or animals are in the advertisement, how would you describe them? What are they doing?

What is the background of this advertisement? That is, where does it “take place”?

What “story” do you think this advertisement is trying to tell?

Typography
Describe the font(s) used for each element of the advertisement. How does the advertisement use typography to
distinguish among different elements (create hierarchy or emphasize a message)?

Reflection questions

In our Visual Design class we had to create our own logo about what ever we wanted, but we couldn't use any pictures from the internet NO copying and pasting, had to be your own idea from your imagination of what you wanted to do, maybe your favorite video game or something like that but NOT brands that people already know the logos for like macy's , psp, McDonalds, etc.

I came up with the idea of my logo just by my imagination, i wondered what if one day i had my own store how would i want the logo to look like, i thought that i only wanted my store to be a store for girls, like makeup, clothe, shoes, purses. i think my logo came out pretty good for what i had in mind. i didn't use so many stuff in it because then it woulnd't look like a logo.

Principles are ways in which elements are used together. i didnt use to many different colors so my logo could match i mostly used the colors between pink and purple , it also has black and a gray-ish color. Also has lines, thats how i made the peace sign of my logo with the help of my teacher i made the peace sign .

i made a couple of changes to my logo, first  i only had the peace sign and around it, it had the text that said 'Michelle outfitters' but then i thought it was boring so instead of having the text around I put it across the peace sign also changed what it said to 'Unique' and i the bottom says 'For Girls and the sign of girls' and when i was almost done i included a girl, it looks like shes holding the letters that say 'Unique' and behing from wehre it says 'For Girls' theres a black splash.

Do Now

1.     What is a bitmap image?
Bitmap images are different combined colored pixels that makes an image; Bitmaps are very good at representing gradations of shape and color.
2.     What does “resolution-dependant” mean?
Resolution-dependant it means the size and quality of the image depends on the number of pixels per inch in the image.
3.     How does a vector image work?
Vector images they are NOT created pixel by pixels, they are graphics make use of mathematical equations to calculate a line’s shape.
4.     When would you notice a difference between the two?
Vector images are not resolution-dependent, they are great for illustrations and logos that need to be scale

The initial goals for this logo is the world cup; yes this logo has match the initial goals because the G is backwards and they added a smily face and a arm and leg so it could look like there's a guy running and one of the of 'O' is a soccer ball and in top of it there's two arrows pointing to the net and the net is the 'L' from google in the bottom of the soccer there's also another arrow pointing to the net. I do have new goals for these logo I would try to make the letters O G & E something else than just being there maybe put a soccer player or something, I would make these changes because the logo looks kind of boring it needs more creativity. These logo has arrows and lines.

My Color Palette

I choose these colors because i liked how the flower looked with these colors
it made the flower stand out and you could see the difference between the colors.
The chroma of these colors are pure you could see it clearly. There is only
tint color the third one from the middle.
