Illustrator Tutorials

 In the first video they tell us that our art work is always editable, you could always make changes to it when ever you want. It doesn't matter what kind of work your doing it for your images no matter the size they would always look clean like with no pixels. Its for different uses meaning you could save it as PDF or different ones. You could create cross media design, print base format or digital base format. I think that the it is helpful for our newsletter because we change our art work when we need or maybe because at the end we didn't like one of our art work then we could change it to whatever we want, I also like that i could change the size of the image to whatever size we want or need and the image would look clean.

In the second video I learned that before even starting our projects on Illustrator to think what we are going to do first, who's going to be using this art work after is created; how is it going to be published. For a newsletter or menu's for restaurant you could use the first option Print New Document. And it shows to edit before start working on your art work. I believe this is also helpful because it shows how to modify or project before even starting and it tells what each things does and helps you to figure out and not just guess what your going to do.

Brochure review.

Im doing my first review on Brian Perez, i really liked his brochure he has a lot of pictures that makes people want to go and eat their meals since they look tasty. But his font is kind of hard to read since the background is white and the letters are also white with red borders which matches but makes it hard to read. I liked how he named the meals but again the font color made it hard to read. And the Customer Reviews are good but i think that he should of put who wrote them peeople might think he came up with them by himself. I love how he did the collage of different type of foods they have, and the font of the labeling is also kind of hard to hard to read but it looks nice, and where it says About Friendly's i think he should make his information a little bit shorter because by seeing this it makes me not want to read it since its a lot of informatiom.

My second review is on Kyle, I like his background with the stripes but since its two different colors it also makes it hard to read with the font color but i like how he was starting im assuming he didnt finish writing because there is a section where theres just a tittle and he also has some white spaces. His testimonials are also good because they have the names of the people that gave the testimonial and the picture are kind of scary but since a bout a tattoo place, and in his information he says that "We perfect all our tattoos and we use clean needles" i dont understand the part where he says "we perfect all our tattoos" but i like that they put that they use clean tattos, i would suggest that he puts we "use new tattoos for each person" because saying "we use clean needles" just makes it sound like you clean them and no one wants a used needle, but i like his brochure.

Interactive Brochure Video Review

This features can be used by me for my web based brochure by using the new things they have like animations, adding slide shows, videos etc. This makes our web brochure a lot of fun because you could add slide shows and not picture by pictures, the animation is also really cool, has different kind of animation so you could play around with it to have a good web brochure. This can help me plan out our brochure because it gives us an idea of how to do it, where to go when we need to do animations or to modify fix how we want it to start of the timing, which one goes first or last, when we do the slideshow it also helps us with the arrows, the arrows have different actions so you also have to modify that not because you have "->" arrows means its going to go to the next on or if you have "<-" does not mean its going to back to the previous image, you could chose for each what you want it to do. I think the client would react in a very positive way because all this makes a very fun creative and good web brochure.

Brochure information

Client name ; sophie's cuban cuisine rest.

Goals and Target; our target is to get people from the area, that work or live around there to buy food from Sophie's.

Content; our brochure is going to containt the menu, pictures of food, comments from people that eat there. Also prices and maybe some pictures of Cuba, since its a Cuban cuisine restaurant.

Design Requirements; some requirements are having pictures of the food they sell, the menu with the prices, their colors that they usually use with their logo

Brochure Review

The purpose of the brochure is to advertise the deli Tozt Cafe to go buy there it gives us the prices of each meal they have. Some graphics of this brochure are very eye catching, they have in the first part you see "cover" the logo of the deli is in "Tozt" it makes it eye catching because the Z is different than all letters, and the cafe is written differently. The design principles are good, the text are align, the colors are really simple theres just a simple mix of white and green; the text are in different colors even thought it looks simple it looks nice it doesnt look all crappy, like with too many colors or too many graphics, this one has a few graphics of some foods that they offer you in their store. The brochure seems like it wasnt that expensive but it wasnt that cheap either, it has a lot of imformation of the food they sell, and in the "cover" they also have their website, their adress, telephone and fax number. They got a catchy phrase under their name or logo that says "Tasty-Fresh-Crispy" The brochure was well written, the brochure got straight to the point of what it was about, and what they sell in their store.

My portfolio

The purpose of my portflio was creating it to organize all my work so people that im tragetting it to from colleges or any jobs could see what i've done during my high school year. To show how creative i am and what i could do using photoshop or inndesign. I created advertisements so if i ever use this for a job i could do the advertisements for them or creating new logos for any companies, this would help me to catch peoples eyes.

I created my portfolio in Acrobat even though it might seem hard it really isn't . I went to file create new portofolio and then created all my folders and dragged my projects there into the folders but everything had to be organized with their significant narritive and a PDF from my project or lab, we also combined the files ( narritive and project ) so it  could be a little bit easier for people to see my portfolio. I also created a cover page for my portfolio and i did it in indesign could of also done it in photoshop but i decided i wanted to do it in indesign i used some pictures i took and tried to be created with them, i think with the short amount of time i had i did a pretty good job in my cover page it looks creative.

I streamline the file size in photoshop by flatten the layers and then in indesign by chosen in the save option the smallest size this brought a big amount of space down but it wasnt much of a difference with the original one, it brought my whole portfolio size a lot smaller.

My portfolio is an acurrate example of my work so far because it shows in an easy way my progession in visual design class all the things i've learned in the pass half of year, how i decided to use all my understanding in visual design in my last projects even though it doesnt much, you could see how i learned how to use alignment and stroke, how to crop pictures make them look like a college and to be honest my project 1 i wasnt really sure of what i was doing since it was my first project i tried my best to follow with class i would of liked my project 1 to look more creative leave less blank space and tried to fill it in. But the portfolio shows how was my progession how i started and ended.

Pen Tool

The Pen Tool is very useful when you want to make an advertisement , you can even draw an image with it. As you can see I made a Straight line, a Curve; you could even write on the lines and it looks pretty cool. And I also used the shape tool as you can see the red circle you can write in OR outside the circle. You make the stroke invisible and you wouldn't a line, which makes it look better and it would only be the text. you would have a straight text, a curvy text and a shape text. now you have another way to create an image/thing/object with the pen and shape tool.
